Ui - The Iron Apple
These kids, they are crazy...they are writing whacked-out theme songs to 70's sit-coms without even knowing it. I was a big Felix Unger fan too. (Southern Records)

Ultimate Fakebook - Open Up and Say Awesome
One of the hardest touring bands out there, this Kansas trio delivers their first album since "parting" with Epic in 2001. This is a fun, power pop/rock record , full of sing-a-long choruses, "whoah"s and "ooh"s, and sweet melodies. Hints of Elvis Costello, Superdrag, and Weezer abound from various nooks on this record. Occasionally, records by bands that love their rock to pop can get a bit boring after a while. This one avoids that problem by mixing it up a bit (check out the opening track, "Wrestling Leap Year," which sounds incredibly fresh and unlike anything else on the record.) A definite must for fans of teenage anthems and party rock. (Initial Records)

The Unknown - Pop Art
Fun, interesting pop-punk that doesn't fall into routine once on this album. They're like Mr. T Experience and Sinkhole meet the Romantics. I dig the Cars cover too. Track this down, now! (Jiffi Pop)
