Olympic Hopeful - lewis & clark's first blunder 7"
This is a duo from Providence, RI that plays some interestingly edgy pop music, all without vocals. Kind of a rolling-down-a-hill feeling on the A-side. Slightly more mellow on the first song on the B-side, while there's a bit more of a jerky feeling to the last song. I think it would be safe to say that fans of Pele (both the band and the soccer player) will be interested in this one. (Brentwood Estates)

122 greige - moving away from the sun
A very pleasant surprise. The name threw me and I had this one sitting on the bottom of my 'to listen to' pile for a while. A mistake. Songs that touch on the relaxed and unforced feel of Pavement's Slanted and Enchanted, the more laid-back Velvet Underground songs, and a sense for album composition that is not only all their own, but should be commended.
